We encourage caregivers, consumers, and the public to read and engage with the content as we work together to provide resources and support across every stage of life.

Founded in 1962 as the local United Cerebral Palsy organization, PennCares has grown from a small local chapter of UCP to a regional leader for resources, advocacy and services for people with a broad range of intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities and their families throughout south central Pennsylvania. Our organization serves individuals in the four-county region through numerous programs, including Early Intervention services for children from birth to age 3, inclusive Child Development Groups and Preschools for young children of all abilities; along with in-home Personal Care Attendants and Community Habilitation Services for adults.
